Once the largest movie theatre in Asia, the Majestic Theatre,
situated within 3 minutes' walk of Nanjing Road (W), was built
in 1941. Having been fully restored both inside and outside, it
is now one of the city's most active venues for dance
performances and dramas. With the marble entry hall and
artistically curving staircase, the Majestic Theatre is one of
the classiest places in Shanghai. |
