金門大酒店
 Address:   104 Nanjing Road (w) 上海市黃浦區南京西路104號
 Known as:
Description:   A few years ago the hotel was called Huaqiao (Overseas Chinese) Hotel, but originally it was called Hua’an Building. Constructed in 1924 and completed in 1926, the building has a neoclassicist exterior, which is diverse in decorative styles. The gate is divided into three parts by Doric pillars with protruding left and right sides. A turret is erected at the top with different-shaped pillars in the lower and upper parts respectively. Above the turret stands a gold-plated dome. In 1939 a businessman from Hong Kong turned it to a hotel named “Golden Gate Hotel”. In 1950 it had to be closed as a result of labor disputes and then it was transformed into East China Textile Administrative Bureau. In 1958 it became Huaqiao Hotel.
