Description: |

The beautiful Russian Consulate building was constructed at the
convergence of the Huangpu River and Suzhou Creek, to the north
of Waibaidu Bridge. Its architecture also boasts distinguishing
features.It is only 4 stories high, but it has a two-story
lookout tower on the roof, at the top of which stands a green
dome of sheet iron. Also, half of the first story is embedded in
the groud with the 2-meter-high remaining part standing above
ground. It is an ideal site to appreciate the Bund and the
Huangpu River. |
