Pura Batu Bolong

 Address:
 Known as:   Pura Kaprusan
Description:   Pura Batu Bolong is a small but scenic Hindu temple perched on top of a rocky outcrop by the sea, around 2km south of Senggigi. Its unique feature is the big natural hole on the rock underneath the temple, hence the name (“batu bolong” means rock with a hole). Facing Lombok’s neighbouring island, Bali, it’s a favourite spot to watch the sunset, where you can see the sun dipping down behind Bali’s holy Mount Agung, creating a dramatic view. You can also visit Pura Batu Bolong during Hindu festival times, when colourful ceremonies are held.
